Writer Statement

This is a story about a disconnected family finding their
way back to each other. It centers around a road trip to the Four Corners monument taken by a bossy, feisty mom, JILL and her autistic son LUCAS who just graudated high school with honors. This is his senior trip for achieving such marks. This story aims to shine a light and share the beauty within two populations:
The Navajo Nation The Autism Community.
This story is about the bond of family and the balance
between different types of people that make them up.
The tone is dramatic comedy. The setting is varied but much of the film will feature gorgeous scenery from the Southwest as we venture through Monument Valley and into the Navajo reservation.
